QI SCHOOL provides high quality education to children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. The QI SCHOOL team is passionate about education and is dedicated to the development of children. We currently have openings for teachers at our newly opened school in Franklin, MA.

Lead Teacher

The Lead Teacher, under the supervision of the Director, is responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the individual needs of each child in the classroom.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Follow Qi School mission and philosophy;

  • Be sensitive and respectful of cultural differences;

  • Maintain and foster positive, courteous, and professional relationships with the children, their families, fellow team members, administration, professional staff from other related agencies, and the greater community;

  • Plan and implement a full-day, year-round, developmentally appropriate curriculum including weekly themes and lesson plans, inclusion of theme-related materials, and rotation of toys and equipment on a regular basis;

  • Provide safe, responsive stimulating environment by actively engaging oneself in daily activities and routines;

  • Assess all areas of development of children using the Creative Curriculum;

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio for each child;

  • Conduct two parent-teacher conferences per year with each family;

  • Attends all monthly team meetings;

  • Assist in the accreditation process;

  • Responsible for supervision and direction of Teacher, Assistant Teacher and Volunteers.

 

Qualifications

Infant/Toddler Classrooms:

  • Must be EEC certified as an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher;

  • Two years of experience working with children from birth to two years in home or center settings;

  • B.A. or B.S. in early childhood education or related field preferred.

 

Preschool Classrooms

  • Must be EEC certified as a Preschool Lead Teacher;

  • Two years experience working with children three to five years in home or center setting;

  • B.A. or B.S. in early childhood education or related field preferred.

Teacher

The Teacher, under the supervision of the Lead Teacher and the director, is responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the individual needs of each child in the classroom. 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Follow Qi School mission and philosophy;

  • Be sensitive and respectful of cultural differences;

  • Maintain and foster positive, courteous, and professional relationships with the children, their families, fellow team members, administration, professional staff from other related agencies, and the greater community;

  • Collaborates with team members to create an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum for indoors, as well as outdoors;

  • Maintains open and positive communication with families in regard to their child's progress;

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining daily records, portfolios, and reports;

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in assessing each child in their class on a regular basis and plan to meet their developmental level;

  • Attends all monthly team meetings;

  • Assist in the accreditation process.

 

Qualifications

Assistant Teacher

Primary Responsibilities

  • Follow Qi School mission and philosophy;

  • Be sensitive and respectful of cultural differences;

  • Assist in planning of weekly themes, lesson plans and daily activities;

  • Supervise activities of children and provide stimulating activities;

  • Maintain all certification as required;

  • Ensure compliance with all EEC rules and regulations.

 

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age;

  • High school diploma or equivalent;

  • One year experience working with children birth to five years in home or center setting;

  • B.A. or B.S. in early childhood education or related field preferred.
