He has founded the Qi Education Group, which owns and operates 15 childcare centers and one K-12 school in China and the U.S. He has also donated to found the Qi Research Center for Preschool Education at West China Normal University. Dr. Amina Mi holds a Ph. D degree in Science Education and was a visiting scholar in Child Development and Psychology at Columbia University. She has headed several state level educational research projects in China, and has extensive knowledge in child development and experience in caring for children.
After three years of preparation that included curriculum development and renovation of a beautiful, light-filled building, Qi School opened its doors to families in June 2016. As a proud provider of education and care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old, Qi School was held to the highest standards from the very beginning. Under the leadership of Director of Operations Dr. Amina Mi and Director of Education Tara Hebert, Qi School has gained families’ trust and grown over the past three years. We are always looking for ways to improve our educational practices, and hope to continue growing along with our children and families.
